Everything you observe about teenage girlish behaviour rings true. I really like what you did with both Colin and Theo - they were both realistically complex characters. Poor Colin's desperate excitement at the thought that someone fancied him was convincing. I gave Theo the benefit of the doubt and decided he had a genuine fondness for Millicent, recognising a fellow misfit perhaps, and even an instinct for defending the underdog, all of which good qualities deserted him when confronted by the prospect of sex.
I love the ending. Positive without being saccharine. I loved Millicent's internal monologue as well - sometimes tough, sometimes self-defeating. Really, I just loved it.
