This was probably the most personal fic I've ever written, as the way Millicent viewed herself a lot and some of the things that happened/were said about her were things I was exposed to as a teen, so it was easy (and not a little painful) to tap into those things here.
Boys like Nott really are out there, just as there are girls like Pansy and her lot as well. I'm very relieved you didn't think they were just bitchy and flat; I wanted to make them catty but not cartoony, if that makes sense. There were girls that *I* knew that would be pleasant and nice one minute feigning to be caring and helpful and in the next minute they'd taunt about boys like that, so I hoped that I'd captured that.
I am not really a fan of fanon!Draco, and I tried to come up with how I thought canon!Draco might behave if he were around one or two people he might allow himself to *be* his real self around, so this is my interpretation of what that might be like. I realise it's a bit softer than what people usually expect, but I'd tried to mix that with what we know of him already, so it's great to hear that it wasn't jarring.
